Pediatrics, also known as the field of child health and diseases, deals with the diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of individuals from birth through adolescence. For those defined as children (under 18), the department monitors congenital conditions, post-natal vaccination schedules, and mental, physical and motor development. During routine examinations, factors such as height, weight, nutrition, daily life skills, language development, neurological and psychological development are tracked and managed.
