Intensive Care Unit

An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a specialized hospital department designed for the continuous monitoring and treatment of patients in critical condition. ICUs typically care for patients following emergencies such as surgery, trauma, respiratory failure or heart attack.

In the ICU, vital signs of patients (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, etc.) are continuously monitored. Nurses and physicians follow the patient's condition closely and respond immediately when needed.

Intensive care units typically use treatment methods such as invasive monitoring and mechanical ventilation. The care of patients is managed by a multidisciplinary team that includes intensive care specialists, surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.

Our hospital's level-2 Intensive Care Unit provides the highest level of care necessary to cope with life-threatening conditions.
